Hey, I am a 24 yr old bisexual in a relationship with a mostly gay 22 yr old revambros8706 from Indiana. We are into hanging out, listening to music, good conversation, random conversation, being outdoors, reading, going out sometimes, smoking. We hate drama even though because we live with our married straight couple best friends we have plenty of it. I was just looking for new friends to add to my livejournal because I went on a hiatus. Sometimes you have technology, sometimes you don't. I didn't have it for awhile so if anyone is interested in adding or sending a comment/message my way, feel free :)

On the day of the protests you've got to be careful to try to steer the message of the folks that show up to counter-protest. Phelps has a terrible message and it is our nature to want to react to that. Most Phelps counter-protests turn negative pretty quickly. People on our side will want to yell back and tell them off. The negative energy can take over and leave our side feeling dirty afterwards. That is where the Phelps-A-Thon really shines. We can totally turn things around and make it a positive, fun event, and have our people leave feeling great. The best way to keep folks positive is to have a huge Phelps-A-Thon sign and update the tally of the amount raised every 5 minutes. If you are announcing the amount every 5 minutes, it gives you a chance to speak to the crowd and craft the message. I use the updates to get folks to cheer and clap, then start a positive chant like, "You're crazy, you're funny, you're raising us money!" It feels a lot better to laugh at and clap for the Phelpses than to yell swears and get all angry. They want to make us angry and feed off of people yelling back at them. If we are clapping and cheering and thanking them for raising us money (for the exact same thing they are there protesting) it really can be a great event. " -Phelps-a-thon founder

Time is running out for cherry....whistle.....cricket.... and dozens of dogs in Dearborn County.
"We're so over crowed right now...we're at the point here, where somebody's going to have to be going," says Dearborn county animal shelter officer Lisa Harrison.
They need your help, and without it these big eyes and wagging tails will be gone forever...put to sleep. And shelter director Ann Averill says that's not what she wants.
"We really don't want to euthanize any of them if we can help it," Averill says.
But soon that won't be a choice and even this week some have already been put down. Recently the shelter saw a 30 percent increase in the dog population. Some picked up on the side of the road...others simply left outside.
"We find them tied to the trailer and just roaming around outside the shelter. Our numbers are defiantly up," Averill says
A new addition to the shelter is Venus. She is a yellow lab mix and was recently abandoned and needs a great home. "She is an excellent dog, she makes a great pet for any family, she seems to like kids...she's house broken," Harrison says
The process is fun and even easy on the wallet.
Adoption fees are just forty dollars. If the dog is not spayed or neutered, the shelter will pay for the procedure at one of the local veterinarians. Another perk, the shelter is running a special where they'll give you a brand new leader leash. You can even bring in your other pets for a meet and greet.
The shelter is also in need of all donations, including dog and cat food, litter, hay or straw for bedding and cash donations to help with medical expenses.
The Dearborn County Animal Shelter is located at 11681 County Farm Road, Aurora, Indiana 47001 or you can visit the website at http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/IN186.html

07:42 pm - visiting Indiana
So... next week, I'll be flying out to Evansville to visit my friend for a couple weeks. I was talking to her today, and she mentioned maybe having one night out with her boyfriend. Then I got to thinking... maybe I could meet up with someone and hang out!
Is there anyone in/near/willing to drive to Evansville who wants to show around a queer California girl?
Failing that, what kind of stuff should I be sure to check out while I'm out there? My friend has some ideas in mind, but even she sounds uncertain of what we can do. Nature places, historical landmarks, bars... hehehe... yeah. Anything you can suggest would be great.

Hi! My name is whatever you decide to call me, I am 25 years old and living in Plainfield, I am pansexual and in an open relationship, I don't "identify" as any specific gender (though my presentation varies depending on the situation), and I'd like to make some buddies in the area!
I just moved here this past May, and I am having a hard time meeting fun-loving liberal folks who haven't died inside.
Also, I am awkward. Say hi to me!
Love and Namaste,

During the inauguration kick off party at the Lincoln Memorial, openly gay Bishop Gene Robinson of the Diocese of NH gave the opening prayer.
The problem is it was not televised by HBO or NPR and there were 'technical difficulties' making it nearly impossible for the crowd of 500,000 to hear a word.
Demand to know why Bishop Robinson was part of the "pre-show" and therefore not taped.

Little People like LGBT people are considered "freaks of nature", they get stares and people misunderstand them. In looking for resources for Little LGBT People, I found virtually nothing. I decided, to make an entry to educate people about little people as well as provide as much info as I can for LGBT Little People. It is my sincere hope that LGBT Little People can find solace, comfort and community and that they can begin to network and build a foundation and support system for their own sub-section of the community.
